Pure Tea

Packaging Illustrations

Packaging illustrations for German organic tea brand Pure Tea.

The elaborate landscapes show typical scenes from the countries the teas originate from.

The rebrand, launched in early 2019, features 13 illustrations for the different flavors.

Created for
Heine Warnecke Design.

This packaging design won an iF Design Award, a Red Dot Design Award and a DDC Product Award.

The colours in the illustrations relate to the different tea flavours and regions’ cultural characteristics at the same time.

The Pure Tea loose leaf teas come in a tin packaging the illustrations wrap around.

The chai tea packaging shows a bustling Indian spice market in front of a hindu temple.

A Japanese garden filled with cherry blossom trees is featured on the Sencha tea packaging. There’s a shinto temple in it with Mount Fuji in the background.

The peppermint flavour illustrates a lush garden scene at the entry gates of an ancient Moroccan city.

A mountainous Chinese landscape with a plantation in the foreground is depicted on the Illustration for the mango flavour.
